Thank you for your comment. I definitely agree that what some might consider one-night fun others might not. My philosophy about life is seeking pleasure and avoiding needless negative emotions. There are so many means by which to sustain this path of non-harmfulness to oneself and others–for some it’s long-term love, celibacy, free-love, whatever. All of it’s good, just so long as it’s healthy and happy! 🙂

I’d like to respectfully put forth the idea that this type of casual sex isn’t for everyone. For many women (including me), sex without meaningful emotional connection is like food without flavor — it might scratch a momentary itch, but it’s ultimately unfulfilling, and can be downright draining. Also, for women who have survived sexual trauma, the notion of using and being used for sex can be psychologically harmful. Casual sex is definitely freeing and fun for some, but I don’t think it’s a good idea for everyone.
