The list is quite good and quite correct but any such list MUST-MUST-MUST include
“Hotaru no Haka” or ‘Grave of the Fireflies’; the anime movie from Japan from 1988 which recounts the story of orphaned Brother and sister who live and suffer through the bombardment of Japan in World war II.

I completely agree, it was hard to pick just one scene. The ending was especially moving but I didn’t want to ruin it for anyone who hasn’t yet seen it.
