Do you remember when they started “evolving” to the slimmer, smaller shoulder pads that would always fall out? Ugh! You’d buy a basic cotton turtleneck and it would have pads in it! Inevitably you’d be going about your day and realize one shoulder was missing its tiny but oh-so-crucial pad. Oh dear God, for how long? And who saw?!?

I’m with you. I remember stockpiling shoulder pads in the 80’s and of how severe they made my already broad shoulders look!

Please post a link if possible to where we can see those old anchor tapes!!!!

Amy, I’m scared. The 80’s were scary, fashion-wise and I cringe when I look at old TV anchor tapes of myself with teased bubble-headed bleach blond hair and Joan Crawford shoulder pads. I hope this revival dies fast.
