I’ve been in contact with Jeff Merrifield, owner of Campo Feliz Alpacas farm in Gresham, Oregon who assures we’d be “hard pressed to find a category of livestock as well treated in North America as the alpaca.” I have lots of info about the practices involved — if you are interested, feel free to email me at rowena@stylerummager.com I can also introduce you to Jeff, who welcomes visitors to see first hand the love and care that the vast majority of alpaca owners lavish on their herds.
