UPDATE: I went back to Tokyo Diner last week and I got chatting to the manager. Their sustainable policies extend beyond simply not serving tuna. He told me that when they buy wild fish, they buy from sources certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). He said they buy a lot of farmed fish and he was aware that there were problems associated with that but he thought that the aquaculture industry was moving in the right direction and he knew that a lot of the producers were talking to the MSC about how to improve their practices so he was confident it would get there eventually. Also (and this is actually printed on the information cards on the table along with their tuna policy) they buy 100% of their electricity from renewable, green sources.
