Shaping Youth – love that you’re thinking about this whilst you party. I hope you start a trend with your neighbors! I just threw a housewarming party with Spudware and cups made from corn -people loved it. Bought all the goodies in bulk from treecycle.com. Hope that helps and have fun!

As I set up for our annual island gig via homeowners assoc, I can’t help but look at the amount of ‘Oriental Trading Company’ plastics and tchotchkes for prizes when we could’ve gone this route…I always run kids’ games, and do red/wh/blue fruit flags (strawberries, blueberries, vanilla yogurt creations that kids love) but next year, you’ve inspired me to ask the entire HOA to ‘go green’ with their offerings!

Any ideas where you can buy in bulk for the biodegradable potato-based utensils? (I know Green Mary in Bkly did it for the Craigs List Nonprofit Boot Camp, so should probably call her) Reason being, this island gig gets to be 100+ people, so Restoration Hardware and such is not an option.
