A group of women performed “The Vagina Monologues” in front of male prisoners. And just like everyone else, the prisoners laughed, got emotional, and learned something.

You may be surprised to hear that this play has been enjoying a run in American prisons for some time now. A number of female and male prisoners have seen the influential play and by and large, they all enjoy it.

One of the more moving performances that happened in a male prison was recently documented by Quartz.
