In 2015, the fashion industry made big strides toward becoming progressive and representing more men and women’s bodies. And so far, it appears the industry will continue that trend into 2016.

According to Dazed Digital, Dolce and Gabbana has released a collection of abayas and hijabs to cater to the company’s Muslim customers. The collection of fashionable hijab styles was “premiered on of Style.com/Arabia” and “features a range of veils[…] and outer garments.”

The pieces come in black and beige. And while the line is simple, some of the pieces in the collection are embellished with lemons, daises, and red roses. “The abayas and hijabs come in sheer georgette and satin weave charmeuse fabrics and include copious lace details along hems,” Arabia Style reports. “They also appear to feature a lightweight and dramatic drape, which makes this debut collection rife with special occasion overlays to be worn to celebrate the inimitable dolce vita that is distinct to us in the Arab world.”

This collection is so important because it helps Muslims, a population who has been greatly underserved by the fashion industry, to add flair to their daily garb.

Dazed Digital reports that Stefano Gabbana showcased the “range” on his Instagram account nearly a month ago. According to Gabbana, the “pieces have some lace, embroidery and some prints – but not too much. They will be available in the UAE this October.”

Now, this isn’t the first time a western brand has tried to increase its presence in the Middle East. Last year, Chanel presented its “Cruise 2015 collection in Dubai,” and in general, brands are trying to reach more Muslim shoppers throughout the world. “Last year Uniqlo released its debut hijab range and H&M cast a Muslim model – Mariah Idrissi – wearing the veil in its ‘Close the Loop’ campaign, showing a shift in the high street’s attitudes to inclusivity,” Dazed Digital reports.

Want your baby to smell more baby-ish? Dolce & Gabbana are coming to the rescue with their new perfume…for babies!

Here’s one for you: Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has just released a new fragrance; but it’s not for you or your sweetie. It’s for your newborn baby.

From the D&G website:

How can babies smell even sweeter than they already do? That familiar smell associated with babies that melts our hearts will only be accentuated by this Dolce&Gabbana fragrance.

The company claims it’s a fragrance formulated to “enhance” your baby’s delicious newborn scent: “We all know that children smell beautiful, and there’s no need to cover up their natural scent,” wrote lifestyle editor Valentina Zannoni on the label’s web magazine. “In fact the Dolce & Gabbana Baby Fragrance has been designed to accentuate that natural baby smell.”

It’s not the first scent targeting toddlers, either. Burberry, Bulgari and Johnson’s all have specially formulated lines of fragrances designed for your baby.

According to Stefano Gabbana, the scent, which includes bergamot, honey and musk, was inspired by “the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, [and] the first smile.” While the fragrance is alcohol free, perfumes can contain dozens of harmful chemicals not listed on the ingredients. It’s an unregulated system, allowing for the use of chemicals that have been connected with allergies, reproductive issues including sperm damage, and hormone disruption—which has been connected to some cancers, obesity, diabetes and thyroid diseases.
