If you want to see what it’s like for a little boy whose parents work in the fields, cutting lettuce, watch the soon-to-be-released documentary “East of Salinas.”

The film examines, in depth, the economic conditions that people who work in fields tend to find themselves in, and how those conditions affect their entire family, including their children.
