Are you excited to watch the Emmy Awards this weekend? I know I am. I love tweeting about all the show shenanigans, the awesome wins, and disappointing loses. (I still have a big chip on my shoulder because no one from the “Gilmore Girls” cast ever won an award… such BS).

And that lead me to thinking – there are so many awesome Emmy nominated shows on that inevitably won’t win, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be watched. So, we decided to do a quick roundup of shows we think you should watch even if they don’t take home a glitzy statue.

1. “Orphan Black” (Tatiana Maslany is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series)

Do you like shows with multiple (seven) strong female leads (all played by one person) and a killer sci-fi bent? Then get on the “Orphan Black” fandom train right now. The show’s lead is what sells its outrageous premise and propels it forward.

2. “Inside Amy Schumer” (Amy Schumer is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series)

If you haven’t started to watch this show yet, we have one question for you – what the hell are you waiting for? Amy Schumer’s brand of comedy is equal parts feminist and uncomfortable real-life truth.

3. “Grace and Frankie” (Lily Tomlin as Frankie is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series)

This series has been lauded for its leading ladies who are of a certain age. But it’s really so much more than that. It’s filled with comedy, and life lessons (you don’t have to be a 20-something to have major relationship issues).

And we couldn’t end this post without mentioning the below nominees, too. While all these shows are now off the air, you should find them and stream them, like, now:

4. “Parks and Recreation” (Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, outstanding lead actress in a comedy series – stream it on Netflix)

5. “Mad Men” (Jon Hamm as Don Draper, outstanding actor in a drama series, stream it on Netflix)

6. “The Honorable Woman” (Maggie Gyllenhaal as Nessa Stein, outstanding lead actress in a limited series, stream it on Google Play or Amazon)
