A celebration of Apple visionary Steve Jobs’ digital creations from 1976 to present day.

The other day we either went to sleep or woke up to the sad news of Steve Jobs’ passing. He was a maverick who ushered in a new digital age, a time that will prove as monumental and pivotal as the Renaissance and Scientific Revolution before us.

Sweeping obituaries of the man now abound, from the New York Times to Mashable. Holding true to their minimalist aesthetic, the splash page of Apple.com reads simply:

Steve Jobs, 1955 – 2011

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an incredible human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
