This was a well thought out article, it told me much I did not know. I have heard rumors about this plastic island floating in the Pacific. You would think with a trash island as big as Texas, someone would have a taken a picture of it.

Thanks for bringing us this interesting and engaging take on such a serious problem. Let’s hope the awareness you promote translates into further action to reduce and eliminate this substance from our culture. Humans lived a long time without the need to deluge our environment with throw-away synthetic polymer.

Strictly speaking “plastic” is any moldable material such as dried reeds formed into a basket or clay formed into a pot. Your article should help people start thinking and feeling and acting more like humans and less like machines or dutiful consumers. Thanks again!
