Welcome, I'm the Devil's Advocate:
(1)You have to remember that the Green Movement came under fire due to Bias. Evidence has emerged in 2009-2010 to show that not only has Climate changed much less than expected (legitimate sources say we're not really outside the norm for rising and falling temperatures, and even more there are plenty of well-sourced studies showing Artic/Antarctic Glaciers are growing in size, not shrinking), but also that previous "evidence" thought to be legitimate came from think-tanks and scientists who had been proven to hold progressive bias, and that their research therefore has a strong possibility of accruing such bias as well.
(2)Marketing campaigns have rendered people far less knowledgeable than they believe in regards to environmentalism, as many companies, small and large, can easily deceive consumers who don't do their research. Wind/Solar Turbines almost never produce more than single-digit percentages of power for any company/neighborhood, btu get away with it by using vague figures and big numbers that don't actually mean much.
(3)The Green Movement assumes America and Europe live in a bubble. The most horrid contamination and destruction actually comes from 3rd-world nations, dictatorially-controlled business' and due to that, Prime Ministers and Gov'ts of China, the Koreas, multiple sand countries, et cetera will only feed off of the Ameri-Euro Green Movement as restrictions place to big a burden on business' in Ameri-Europe, and said business' move to China where they can act in disenvironmental ways to their profits-content. Now how does that help ANYONE?

Hope I provoked some new thinking and maybe widened the world view of some people.
