the cabbage chair looks seriously uncomfortable – definitely form over function. quite the opposite of the cushions made from recycled car upholstery featured in the next post.

I agree with you. I also like the Lamponi iron lamp. It is very cool. But the others are too forced for my taste.

I like the Lamponi Lamps, especially the iron. But the poo paper? No way. What happens if you want to keep the letter and the paper starts to break down with age? Ewwwww. I think Elephant poo recycling is better served by the companies that make the discs and doo dads out of it that you put in your garden as decorative fertlizer. I like the poop paper (I remember the elephant dung notebooks featured a while back) – but yes, the rest is slightly unhinged. The Cabbage chair is something I’ve written about elsewhere, and it struck me as absurdly uncomfortable-looking, pushing your weight forward onto your legs all the time. Upcycling: great idea, but the end result has to be something useful or beautiful, and ideally both. Neither…well, that’s junk.
