While 2013 was a sobering year for us, with the biggest fashion industry tragedy ever happening in Bangladhesh, and scores of bad statistics and pictures coming out of China and elsewhere on the toxicity of fashion, I'm more hopeful than ever. It's turning away from being an "alternative lifestyle." I'm excited for the possibility that in a few years, sustainable fashion will be as ubiquitous as Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and mom-and-pop natural food stores!
