I just have to tell you that this was the most expensive I have ever bought and it was definitely the worst and stinkiest cat litter I have ever bought. At times it was embarrassing to open my door to anyone as my whole house would stink. I am extremely disappointed to say the least.

I’ve used this on & off for several years. It’s the price that makes me stop. It does an excellent job controlling urine odors not so good controlling the other. Great scoop-able if you give it some time to set 2-8 hr, but if you let it dry out completely it falls apart. I clean boxes twice a day & it’s great. It doesn’t have the dust that Tidy cats causes. I do have a concern though about pesticides & insecticides in the corn…Is there any research about that? I’d be very interested if someone would a lab analysis & let the rest of us know the results.

So interesting, different experiences with the same product! It must depend on the cat, etc. We’ve just started using the WBCL and it’s AWESOME for us. Definitely less of a smell, and cleaning it is super super easy. I’m convinced, and for me it’s worth the extra money for the lack of smell and the ease of cleaning.

This was on sale and I purchased 3 bags because I had coupons. I have tried it for a week, and for me, it DOES NOT do as good of a job as it states. I have one cat and when he uses it, I immediately have to get it out because of the smell. I normally use the Arm & Hammer and I’ve found that it works the best. I am 50 years old and have had cats my entire life. I have tried most litters, if not all, and this litter just doesn’t get rid of the smell and does not clump well either. Sorry. I was hoping it would work.

I use this litter, though I’m thinking of changing due to cost. It’s certainly not cheap, and I have several rescue cats. The cats like it. It doesn’t smell bad very fast. It clumps well if you allow time for drying. It’s lighter than clay litters, but I still prefer my wide metal scoop. However, it is not dust free. Dust accumulates, and it’s a very fine dust that can get into all the nooks and crannies of furniture. I’m not certain how healthy or unhealthy it is to breathe, but it does make me sneeze when I stir it up. It’s a very good cat litter, but I’m still looking for lower cost and less dust.

The daily cleaning is a good tip, Sara. I know a lot of cat owners who do a weekly job, and I don’t think this would work as well for them. That being said, it’s nice not to have dust everywhere!

I’ve tried them all, and this is the best in my opinion. Feline Pine is a close runner up although the large granules make cleaning difficult. WBCL smells far better than the regular stuff as long as you clean daily, otherwise it does tend to smell worse. As long as you maintain it, there isn’t so much as a whiff of that “you have a cat” smell in your house.
