<p><strong>1. Driftwood Sconces &#8211;</strong> Turn a piece of driftwood into a candle holder by attaching votive candle holders to a piece of driftwood and hang on the wall. You can affix hardware clamps to the driftwood to hold the candle holders.</p>
<figure id="attachment_160053" style="width: 1250px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img class="size-full wp-image-160053" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/iStock-520707302.jpg" alt="istock/Julia_Kuleshova " width="1250" height="839" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-520707302.jpg 1250w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-520707302-625x420.jpg 625w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-520707302-768x515.jpg 768w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-520707302-1024x687.jpg 1024w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-520707302-600x403.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1250px) 100vw, 1250px" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">istock/Julia_Kuleshova</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>2. Twig Centerpiece &#8211;</strong> The next time you have to go out to collect branches from the yard after a windy day, bring some inside to create a natural DIY centerpiece. <p><strong>3. Fern Stencils &#8211;</strong> Collect fern fronds on your next walk in the woods to use them for some DIY natural decorating. They can be used as a stencil for your next painting project for everything from wallpaper and wall art to painted furniture pieces.</p>
<figure id="attachment_160056" style="width: 1062px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img class="size-full wp-image-160056" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/iStock-531792772.jpg" alt="istock/elenaleonova " width="1062" height="987" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-531792772.jpg 1062w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-531792772-625x581.jpg 625w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-531792772-768x714.jpg 768w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-531792772-1024x952.jpg 1024w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-531792772-600x558.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1062px) 100vw, 1062px" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">istock/elenaleonova</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>4. Dried Botanical Framed Art &#8211;</strong> By the same token, fern fronds and other botanicals can be collected, dried, and framed to create gorgeous art from some of nature’s best beauties for some easy, natural DIY.</p>

<p><strong>5. Painted Pinecones &#8211;</strong> If you or your neighbors have any pine trees, then you have a ready supply of pine cones to collect and use for DIY projects. They can be spray painted and hung from hooks with ribbon in lonely corners in your home. Or collect them in a burl bowl on the coffee table.</p>
<figure id="attachment_160058" style="width: 1368px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img class="size-full wp-image-160058" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/iStock-607469420.jpg" alt="istock/StockImages_AT " width="1368" height="767" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-607469420.jpg 1368w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-607469420-625x350.jpg 625w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-607469420-768x431.jpg 768w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-607469420-1024x574.jpg 1024w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-607469420-600x336.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1368px) 100vw, 1368px" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">istock/StockImages_AT</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>6. Dried Flowers Mobile &#8211;</strong> This spring and summer, grow and collect flowers to dry and use to create a stunning dried flower garland. Simply tie and hang dried bunches of blossoms from their stems using twine or ribbon.</p>
<figure id="attachment_160059" style="width: 887px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img class="size-full wp-image-160059" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/iStock-489630570.jpg" alt="istock/MizC " width="887" height="1183" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-489630570.jpg 887w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-489630570-469x625.jpg 469w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-489630570-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-489630570-600x800.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 887px) 100vw, 887px" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">istock/MizC</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>7. Burlap Curtains &#8211;</strong> Add some natural textured textiles by hanging raw burlap as curtains. Burlap can set the right textural tone if you are trying to create a nature-themed space.</p>
<figure id="attachment_160060" style="width: 836px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img class="size-full wp-image-160060" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/iStock-481029345.jpg" alt="istock/zoranm " width="836" height="1254" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-481029345.jpg 836w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-481029345-417x625.jpg 417w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-481029345-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-481029345-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2017/01/iStock-481029345-600x900.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 836px) 100vw, 836px" /><figcaption class="wp-caption-text">istock/zoranm</figcaption></figure>
<p><strong>8. Found Object Collection &#8211;</strong> Collect nature&#8217;s treasures like tiny pine cones, river stones, found feathers, and more and display your collection like they are priceless collectibles. Use a typesetter&#8217;s tray to display your collection on the wall or display them under a glass cloche on the coffee table.</p>

<p><em>Turn your home into a nature lover&#8217;s paradise with home decor ideas inspired by real-life botanicals.</em></p>
<p>If you are a plant lover and want to keep the beauty of outdoor botanicals alive all year round (and aren’t loaded enough to have an indoor conservancy) get inspired to add botanicals to your home decor. From ferns to poppies, and everything in between, botanicals make for great inspiration. Moreover, it’s super easy to add botanicals to your space by adding wall prints, patterns, DIY projects and more.</p>
<p>Get cracking to make your home a botanical-inspired oasis regardless of the season&#8211;and no matter whether you have a green thumb or not.</p><div id="inContentContiner"><!-- /4450967/ES-In-Content -->

<h2>Add Botanicals to Your Home Decor</h2>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-157651" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Botanicals-1-512x512.jpg" alt="Decorate with botanicals. " width="512" height="512" /></p>
<p><strong>1. Wall Art</strong> &#8211; One easy way to add any decor style to your home is with wall art. Whether you rent or own, wall art is always doable. You can buy wall art, like this print from <a href="http://wearebrainstorm.com/collections/active-outdoorsy/products/the-pine-family">Brainstorm Print &amp; Goods</a>, or DIY your own. Whatever suits your budget and your style.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-157649" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Botanicals-2-341x512.jpg" alt="Decorate with botanicals. " width="341" height="512" /></p>
<p><strong>2. Wallpaper</strong> &#8211; If you are looking to make a more substantial change, consider adding botanical-themed wallpaper. Of course, some botanical wallpapers might be overwhelming in smaller spaces, so consider wallpapering an accent wall, or even using wallpaper to decoupage a piece of furniture. We love this mural wallpaper from <a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-wallpaper/27504844.jsp#/">Anthropologie</a>.</p>
<p><strong>3. Floor Coverings</strong> &#8211; And don’t forget about the floor. Either painting an old wood floor in need of love or by making your own DIY floor covering, the floor is often overlooked area in design and decor. Here is a great <a href="http://www.verypaige.com/lifestyle/.luxperdiem.com/2012/05/diy-dropcloth-rug.html">tutorial</a> for making a stylish floor covering using one of IKEA’s fabrics and a dropcloth.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-157650" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Botanicals-4.png" alt="Decorate with botanicals. " width="470" height="403" /></p>
<p><strong>4. Make Your Own Curtains</strong> &#8211; If you are into more DIY, consider making your own curtains utilizing a botanical print like this print available at <a href="http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/4519427-romance-poppies-botanical-sketchbook-by-robinpickens">Spoonflower</a>, Here’s a <a href="http://www.restoredstyle.com/diy-no-sew-curtains/">how-to</a> for making no-sew handmade curtain panels.</p>
<p><strong>5. Dried Flower Mobile</strong> &#8211; Bring the outside in by drying your favorite flowers and other botanicals to make a DIY wall hanging or mobile. Use wood branches sourced from your yard as the base and hang dried flowers, dried ferns, and other dried botanicals from string to create an attractive wall hanging.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-157648" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Botanicals-6-512x512.jpg" alt="Decorate with botanicals. " width="512" height="512" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2016/07/Botanicals-6-512x512.jpg 512w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2016/07/Botanicals-6-200x200.jpg 200w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2016/07/Botanicals-6-175x175.jpg 175w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/2016/07/Botanicals-6.jpg 570w" sizes="(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px" /></p>
<p><strong>6. Stencils</strong> &#8211; <a href="http://ecosalon.com/12-diy-able-wall-stencils-313/">Stencils </a>are another fabulous DIY solution for adding botanical prints to your home. <strong>7. Succulents</strong> &#8211; Of course, the best way to decorate with botanicals is with actual botanicals. Succulents are a wonderful blend of botanical beauty and easy to grow. They require very little water and are the ideal plants for those who don’t have a green thumb. A terrarium is a lovely way to incorporate succulents into your space. <p><em>If you&#8217;re a rabid <a href="http://ecosalon.com/holiday-cocktail-recipes-kick-good-party/">boozehound</a> (it&#8217;s okay to say you are &#8212; I identify as one as well), you probably have noticed something interesting about liquor cabinets and shelves: everything&#8217;s coming up botanical.</em></p>
<p>Modern Vermouth is made in tiny batches by a small group of producers. And the one thing Vermouth creators have in common is that they love &#8212; scratch that &#8212; they are <em>crazy</em> about organic, foraged ingredients. It&#8217;s these handpicked ingredients that give Vermouth its distinct, high-quality base.</p>
<p>There are all sorts of wonderful, modern Vermouth varieties out there, so we&#8217;ve rounded up a few for you to try.</p><div id="inContentContiner"><!-- /4450967/ES-In-Content -->

<p>1. If you&#8217;re looking for a drink that&#8217;s delicate, <strong>Jardesca</strong> is a lovely buy. This <a href="http://ecosalon.com/from-zappa-to-the-wire-baltimore-as-an-emerging-green-city/">Vermouth</a> features floral and mint aromas, a hint of apricot, and a bright, spicy finish.</p>
<p>2.<strong> Ransom Dry Vermouth</strong> is rich. It has hints of ripe fruit, citrus, and wormwood.</p>
<p>3. If you are a botanical fiend, you&#8217;ll love this &#8212; <strong>Atsby Armadillo Cake Reserve</strong> contains 32 botanicals. It’s also sweetened with dark caramel that&#8217;s made from muscovado sugar, and features cardamom, wild celery, and, get this &#8212; shiitake mushroom.</p>
<p>4. <strong>Uncouth <a href="http://ecosalon.com/11-hipster-cocktail-recipes-make-at-home/">Vermouth</a> Hops</strong> is a high-acidity wine and its botanicals &#8220;vary by batch, but many are foraged and all are thoughtfully sourced,&#8221; <a href="http://modernfarmer.com/2015/07/vermouth-moves-to-the-top-shelf/" target="_blank">Modern Farmer</a> reports.</p>
<p>5. <strong>Foro Extra Dry Vermouth</strong> is produced from organic grapes (the Trebbiano variety). It includes the following botanicals: juniper, marjoram, coriander, ginger, cloves, chamomile, china bark, cardamom, angelica, vanilla, wild rose, angostura, gentian, and elderberry. <a href="http://drinks.seriouseats.com/2013/06/new-vermouth-foro-extra-dry-vermouth-organic-trebbiano-for-martinis-vermouth-review.html" target="_blank">Serious Eats</a> describes its scent as spicy. It also features hints of honeysuckle.</p>
<p>6. While this is technically an old recipe (as old as 1891, to be exact), <strong>Cocchi Vermouth di Torino</strong> has a modern taste. Its base is made from the company&#8217;s Moscato. <a href="http://www.winemag.com/2012/09/24/eight-new-vermouths/" target="_blank">Wine Enthusiast </a>describes its flavor profile as &#8220;rich and lush, with notes of dried fig and cocoa.&#8221;</p>
<p>So, don&#8217;t see a Vermouth that strikes your fancy? You could always try and make your own… Yeah, I just wrote that. This <strong>Organic Sweet Vermouth</strong> recipe comes from <a href="http://www.rodalesorganiclife.com/food/organic-cocktails" target="_blank">Rodale</a> Organic Life.</p>

<p>2 750ml bottles of fruity organic red wine<br />

<p>It&#8217;s truly a wonder to me what comes from the rainforest. I suppose it&#8217;s because I grew up in more temperate regions, but the products of the tropics very much intrigue me. Take these oils: babassu, buriti and cupuassu. Never heard of them before? Neither had I. But my skin yearned to be fed by their deliciousness.</p>
<p>Tropical Organic Bodycare &#8211; such is the tagline of <a target="_blank" href="http://www.joiabotanicals.com/home.html" target="_blank">Joia Botanicals</a>. They use only natural ingredients (and all the ingredients are conveniently listed on the website, so you can see for yourself) featuring the above-mentioned exotic rainforest oils, plus many others. Best of all, Joia Botanicals promotes sustainable harvesting for the rainforest communities of Brazil by only using wild-harvested ingredients &#8211; which is an incentive for the local residents to maintain the integrity of their forests while making a fair living from their products. That sounds like a win-win situation to me. Thanks for the happiness and harmony, Joia.</p>
