<p><em>Wherein we ask our favorite design bloggers, curators and forecasters what inspires them.  </em></p>
<p>We’ve already told you how much <a title="20 Shelter and Design Websites That Inspire Us" href="http://ecosalon.com/20-shelter-and-design-websites-that-inspire-us/">we love</a> Irene Hoofs&#8217; design blog Bloesum. Her ideas for living and leisure, “for the love of handmade” and “soul-soothing interiors” are always streamlined, simple and &#8211; above all else &#8211; inspirational. It should come as no surprise, then, that her own interior is infused with that same airy elegance.</p>
<p>Here are Irene&#8217;s answers to our <a title="Coming in February: The 5 Questions Series" href="http://ecosalon.com/coming-in-february-the-5-questions-series/">fabulous five</a>.</p><div id="inContentContiner"><!-- /4450967/ES-In-Content -->

<p><strong>What’s on your coffee table?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_KITCHEN.jpg"><img title="Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_KITCHEN" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_KITCHEN.jpg" alt="" width="455" height="684" /></a></p>
<p>I don’t really have an actual coffee table, but have multiple places in the house that double as coffee table, I guess. There you’ll see books and magazines, mainly about photography and interior design and picture books for children.</p>
<p><strong>What object are you currently lusting after and what would you do with it?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-125004" title="Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon.jpg" alt="" width="455" height="684" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon.jpg 455w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon-199x300.jpg 199w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon-276x415.jpg 276w" sizes="(max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px" /></a></p>
<p>Ahhh, I have been looking to buy a new rug for under our dining table. The one we have now is completely worn out and actually is starting to look quite horrible.</p>
<p><strong>What’s your favorite object and how did you find it?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_POLLO.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-125001" title="Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_POLLO" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_POLLO.jpg" alt="" width="455" height="325" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_POLLO.jpg 455w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_POLLO-300x214.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px" /></a></p>
<p>Currently, I am in love with my new Vintage Pollo Vase by Tapio Wirkkala, given to me by a dear friend for my birthday. She knew I had a big crush on it because I had mentioned it several times on my blog. When she saw it in an Etsy shop, she bought it for me. I find that super sweet and thoughtful.</p>
<p><strong>What’s the story behind your favorite photograph, and how did you choose to frame it?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-125002" title="Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART.jpg" alt="" width="455" height="455" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART.jpg 455w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART-150x150.jpg 150w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART-300x300.jpg 300w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_ART-415x415.jpg 415w" sizes="(max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px" /></a></p>
<p>I used to work for a photography-agency in Amsterdam. At that time I bought a picture from Anna Tiedink. it is rather unusual &#8211; people often make remarks about it when entering our living room. They are not sure whether to like or not. I love it and it has moved with us to all the different houses we have lived in since. Another picture I love is the a picture of my two sons shot by Marjon Hoogervorst and I had it framed. Well &#8211; not actually framed, but printed via a new kind of framing called <a href="http://www.ixxi.nu/en/">ixxi</a>. (It&#8217;s a company based in the Netherlands.)</p>
<p><strong>What is the most awkward, wayward object in your home?</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-125005" title="Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING" src="http://ecosalon.com/wp-content/uploads/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING.jpg" alt="" width="455" height="684" srcset="https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING.jpg 455w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING-199x300.jpg 199w, https://storage.googleapis.com/wpesc/1/Bloesem-KLhouse-ecosalon_DINING-276x415.jpg 276w" sizes="(max-width: 455px) 100vw, 455px" /></a></p>
<p>Hmmm&#8230; I can&#8217;t really think of one, sorry!</p>
