The crisp smell of fall will soon float in the air. And with that crisp smell comes the want to wear fall patterns.

One of our favorite, on-trend looks this fall is plaid. We’ve searched around the Internet and found 5 cute plaid pieces that scream “fashionable” and will look great against an autumn leaf backdrop.

1. Plaid wool cape

It may be a bit too warm to wear this piece, but it’s never bad to plan ahead. This wool cape is made with extra-fine merino wool. 2. Early fall plaid dress

Unlike the first item in this post, you can wear this dress now. This swing dress features a classic plaid pattern. 3. Plaid maxi skirt

Regular maxi skirts are great and all, but maxi skirts with slits are pretty awesome, too. 4. Retro cut plaid shirt

Normal plaid shirts are great and all, but we really dig this look. It’s a bit more feminine and modern. It features a peplum shape and bell sleeves. It’s perfect for the woman who loves a retro look. Pair with a denim skirt—any cut—or denim jeans—any cut. Priced at $98.

5. Large scarf

Large scarfs like this are basically my bread and butter during fall. You can easily drape them over your body for extra warmth in the office, or tuck them into a cute jacket when nights turn brisk. This scarf is made of crinkly fabric that’s also incredibly soft. And this piece is, basically, two for the price of one because it is reversible with complementing colors.
