My New Second Home

What's your wardrobe philosophy? I'm the type to invest in a flattering pair of jeans, a single good bag, and a pretty pair of shoes each season - along with a cashmere sweater or soft cotton hoodie.

I stock up on basic tees and tanks as necessary, but I prefer to buy a few quality items and wear them until it's time for something new. Last spring I wore a certain rose zip-up so often my friends started referring to it as my second home.

This gorgeous bolt of royal blue cashmere from VivaTerra is my new "second home" - but fortunately, this is a stunning wardrobe staple that won't wear out. Candy bright washes and royal gem hues are coincidentally everywhere right now, but regardless, I think every woman should have a few signature pieces that boldly announce you're comfortable in your own skin no matter what's on the runways.

This generously sized and unbelievably soft wrap has kept me warm at the movie theater, looking comfortably stylish at the farmers' market, and makes the chilly morning walk to the mailbox much more fun. Best of all, it comes with a matching pair of suede-soled slippers, a handy eye wrap, and a silk storage bag. You'll get miles of versatile use from this set: it's perfect for staying cozy and undisturbed on flights. (Originally $495, now 30% off at $345.)
