Slip On Some Sparkle

Slip on shoes have long been the favorite footing of warmer days. I throw them on with trousers and a stretchy bamboo tee when running errands in the city, and they're equally comfortable when I'm at the lake with family.

For a fun twist, these silver slip-on sneakers are the eco-conscious, updated version of the shoe that has ruled warm weather for decades. When worn with a crisp top, and rolled up jeans (a smart look in 2008), the shoes look effortlessly chic. Made with recycled rubber soles, the shoes are meant to be worn sans socks, so be sure to order a size up if you plan on wearing them with socks. Other suggestions for these shining sneakers are a floral sun dress, cropped straight leg trousers or even overalls. $48 for the TOMS Shoes silver glitter slip on sneaker.
