DIY: Plant It and Spring Will Come

It happens. A seller on Etsy creates a fresh and fun item, but her inventory sells out in just over a week and you’re out of luck. What to do?

Do it yourself. Even if your thumb is anything but green, this charming planting project is simple and an easy way to welcome spring.

Here’s what you need to create your own “Spring in a Can”:

1. one paint can
2. any leftover fabric, paper, string, ribbon you have lying around the house
3. soil
4. wheat grass seeds

Last but not least, a little patience will help you wait the five or so days until your lush, green grass of spring sprouts.
