Ebay Does a World of Good

The recently-launched World Of Good  eBay community wants to encourage transparency and positive action through commerce. It's a place for consumers to discuss tactics for shopping responsibly, encouraging ethical sourcing and empowering handcrafting artisans.

And for those artisans, there's the World Of Good marketplace within eBay, ready to champion their wares and divert a slice of eBay's annual $8 billion in sales into worthy causes - complete with a tailored listing tool to make it easier.

How well World of Good does is anyone's guess - eBay can be a fickle world at times - but it's an ethical step forward into one of the biggest commercial marketplaces in the world.
