Your Chair on Air

Every so often comes a design that polarizes opinions. Such a design is often called a "conversation piece" because it elicits heated debate.

These air-filled recycled inner-tube furnishings by Recycoool have got my family split. The husband thinks it's ingenious, my brother thinks it's eerie and my sister thinks it looks like a gigantic insect.

But I can see these remarkable recycled designs with names like "Nirvana" and "the Big Yogi" bringing a sleek, unique edge to any interior. Try them with a colorful throw for extra coziness, or show off some bright pillows against their lustrous black. These pieces are recycled, resilient and resist easy definition.

What's your take - is it hideous or haute?
