5 Eco Wedges You'll Love

-

I couldn’t be happier that the wedge has lasted through the seasons. Unlike pointy, square, and round toe, the chunky heel style that’s relatively easy on the feet is a classic in my book. Here are my top five eco-sensitive options in all price ranges to keep your hooves happy and looking good.

-I’ll always remember Carrie’s line from a Sex and the City episode when she spies a pair of gorgeous shoes through the window of her favorite store. “Hello, lover,” she says. That was my exact sentiment when I spotted this pair by (yes, you guessed it) my all-time favorite, Stella McCartney. This carved ankle wrap wedge is made of canvas with an intricately carved wooden sole. It’s the splurge of the century at $1,195. (Shown above left.)

-Another favorite shoe designer, I’m working up to owning my very own pair of Christian Louboutins sometime soon. These Piluca Espadrilles are a good start. Made of jute (a renewable resource), they’re casual and comfortable and boast a price tag that’s still within budget $360. (Shown above right.)

-The Saint Martin 9704 by Pikolinos makes me think I’m a little girl again. I like the innocence of the cutouts on a simple white wedge. These shoes are tanned with natural products and water-based dyes and retail for $168.

-Think That 70’s Show or what you wore while playing dress-up in your mom’s old clothes. These Falcon wedges by Moo Shoes are made of synthetic microfiber (don’t worry – no vinyl or PVC) that breathe and act like leather without the animal factor. A layer of cork placed in the middle adds extra style. Just $94.

-This adorable sling-back is a great inexpensive option by Vegetarian Shoes and Bags. The vegan canvas wedge has a peep-toe and buckle detail that will show off your fresh summer pedicure for just $45.
