Deux fm has quickly made a statement in the eco-fashion world. With a creative spin on organic basics, Anna Gilkerson has developed a chic collection we’re all flocking to. The Canadian fashion brand’s designer/founder believes in implementing sustainable action through innovative design – and that she does. Deux fm makes use of environmentally-friendly, re-used, and recycled fabrics while using only fair labor practices. All fabrics are sourced and manufactured locally.
My favorite pieces from the Spring 2008 collection are the sea green Betty dress made from lyocell (sustainable natural fiber made from wood pulp cellulose), below, that is perfect for this season’s maxi trend. I also love the grey Gabriella dress, the lilac-striped Saba tank, and the raspberry Elly skirt – all made from bamboo or organic cotton. Unfortunately, all of my top picks are currently sold out except for the Betty dress, so keep your eyes peeled for the Fall 2008 collection to be released soon. The Deux fm line is distributed mostly in Canada, but you can also purchase online at Nimli.
