Challenge for 2008: Watch your Footprints

-

Today’s the day to kick the habit!

That’s the message of the 2008 World Environment Day, focused this year around Wellington, New Zealand. Every year since 1972  the United Nations Environmental Programme have posed a challenge to the world, and this year it’s this:

CO2, Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy

It’s all about becoming more aware of our carbon footprint – and unlearning our most carbon-wasteful habits. It’s about 12 steps, including:

- investing in alternative energy.

- travelling better: less unnecessary commuting, for example.

-choosing products with reliable carbon-friendly credibility.

-making efficiency savings around the home (which usually result in more money in your pocket).

But you’re probably way ahead of us. So what’s been the biggest carbon-saving measure you’ve recently adopted?
