On the Move: Warsaw, Poland

Life on two wheels.

With 95 miles of bike lanes, Warsaw is full of life on two wheels. The wide Soviet-style streets make for plenty of room for cars and bicycles, and you don’t have to stand on a street corner long before seeing someone ride by. In 2011 the city even hosted the Cycle Messenger World Championships.

Despite a sometimes complicated system of lanes and rough terrain, bicycles are just as much a part of everyday life here as they are in other European cities.
