At greentea design, to "green" furniture means to methodically reclaim centuries-old woods from Korean farmhouses and other forgotten structures.

The company does much to offset "reclaimed" wood’s faulty association with the municipal junkyard or unwanted furniture. Their reclamations are sourced from valuable antique structures that may need remodeling but harbor quality hardwoods just aching to be given a second incarnation.

No trees will fall to fashion these gorgeous furniture pieces, which look as if they’ve come fresh out of the halls of ancient Japanese palaces and been given a 21st century update. The craftsmanship is traditional Japanese joinery, and the woods are coaxed by hand to reveal their century of natural aging.
