I want to tell you something personal: I haven’t let a razor touch my skin in over a decade. I just can’t handle the nicks or the stubble, so I wax. I wax my own legs at home and go to a salon for the other, trickier bits. Yes it hurts, but after the first few strips, my endorphins kick in and I end up feeling quite mellow and relaxed.
Body waxing is an age-old tradition, probably originating in the Middle East, and the original “waxes” were made of sugar, lemon juice and other soothing herbs. Somewhere along the line the industrial age brought chemical experimentation into the realm of body wax, but thanks to everybody’s growing eco-sensitivity, many waxing kits are featuring all natural ingredients again.
Moom is one of them. With totally edible ingredients (sugar, lemon juice, chamomile and tea tree oil), this is one luscious product for personal care. Plus the cotton strips are made to be washed and reused, giving it an extra touch of green.
Moom’s full waxing kit retails for about $20. Still prefer to shave? Here’s our eco-friendly shaving guide.
