Shelter Challenge: Have a Zero Waste Week

The author of the hugely successful UK blog My Zero Waste challenges people to join a waste-free week away from home.

I recycle so much trash it’s embarrassing. To show you the state of my bins would be to out me as a hard-pressed consumer whose attempts at not producing waste are at most futile.

Prior to encountering the Greens – a.k.a. Rachelle Strauss, her husband Richard, their seven year-old daughter and black-and-white kitty cat, who’s now deceased, I felt rather confident with my waste management …

Eco Luxe for Four-Legged, Furry People

Face it. You’re boyfriend is basically a dog and it’s time he got his own bed.

Cats and dogs love a good lay and as a responsible pet owner, you’ve no doubt spayed or neutered him or her to keep it solo. But the fact remains they live for a good roll around in the sack, usually yours, which cramps your style with all manner of bed hogging and hair shedding that is not at all sexy.

These pet beds, pods, hammocks and boxes can be sexy. They look good …
